Safety alert symbol

Wherever you see this symbol, the message that follows is about avoiding injury. Read it and follow it.

Before each use

  • Check with your doctor or physical therapist before starting, especially for rehab or a medical condition.
  • Inspect the band for nicks, tears or punctures, including at anchor and handle points. Throw away anything damaged.
  • Clear the area of trip hazards and wet floors, and keep sharp objects (rings, nails, jewelry) away from the band.
  • Pick a resistance level you can control through the full movement. Keep away from children and pets.

While exercising

  • Secure the band to your hands, feet or a sturdy anchor before you start, and keep watching the anchor point.
  • Wear eye protection and never let the band snap back toward your face or anyone else.
  • Don't stretch beyond three times the band's resting length, and don't use it to lift or support body weight.
  • Move slowly with control, keep good posture, and breathe steadily. Stop and contact your healthcare provider if you feel dizzy, short of breath, or in pain.

Care and storage

  • Clean with mild soap and warm water, then pat dry. Rinse with tap water after use in chlorinated water.
  • Detach from accessories and anchors after each session.
  • Store somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Report serious incidents to the manufacturer and your local authority.
